Metaltech, Inc.

Metaltech Inc. was founded in 1990 by Anthony Zaffuto, and located in DuBois, PA, the heart of the Pennsylvania powder metal industry. The company is registered ISO 9001:2015 through NSF International and is actively pursuing quality registration to IATF 16949. Manufacturing occurs at 3547 Watson Hwy., DuBois, PA, in 26,000-square-feet dedicated to manufacturing. A warehouse building is located at 312 West Washington Ave., in DuBois, with approximately 25,000-square-feet of storage space available. The company owns all real estate.

Processing equipment consists of 21 molding presses, ranging in size from 20 to 250 tons pressing force, 3 sizing presses and 5 sintering furnaces, including two with accelerated temperature capability to 2250* F and Hypercoolers for processing sinter harden materials. Presses include eight multi-level machines. Typical raw materials processed include iron, carbon-steel, nickel-steel, bronze, brass, and stainless steel. Typical parts made include gears, bushings, bearings, high-precision (ground) spacers and washers. In addition to core powdered metal expertise, Metaltech, Inc. is advancing into alternative energy solutions with a focus on low-density, flat panels tailored for efficient energy storage applications.

Metaltech employs approximately 38 to 42 full-time employees, eight of which are administrative/management, and works 24 hours a day, five days a week. In 2013 Metaltech was awarded "Small Business Impact Award" by the State of Pennsylvania through its contributions to job growth and innovation in management. The company was again nominated for this award in 2015.
